The Document Production team are responsible for creating, editing and reformatting all client documents according to precedents, templates and House Style.  Responsibilities include the processing of copy, audio and scanned work, problem resolution for lengthy and complex documents and corrupt document repairs.

Document Production Technicians/Specialists must be proficient in problem-solving within the key applications: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

This post is office-based and a permanent position working 45 hours per week.

Technical ability

  • Produce and amend lengthy and complex business-critical documents with speed and accuracy
  • Proof-read and check spelling, grammar, formatting, presentation and sense
  • Proficient in key software packages: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Administrative skills

  • Maintain and update statistics
  • Attend and contribute proactively to meetings

Professional skills

  • Proactive clarification of instructions from the client/supervisor and/or manager
  • Provide an effective and efficient handover of work between shifts
  • Established document production experience in a fast-paced professional services environment using templates and House Style
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Typing speed of at least 50 wpm and proficient in both audio and copy typing
  • Proficient user of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience of using Visio, Adobe Writer, DocX Tools beneficial
  • Experience of working with scanned documents
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • MOS Word Expert Qualification
  • PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Team player, good communication and organisational skills
  • Confident, professional and the ability to use own judgement
